COMPREHENSIVE MENTAL HEALTH EDUCATION AND REHABILITATION PROJECTS

1. OUTREACH ON RADIO AND TV STATIONS: Leveraging the wide reach of media, Willingway Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre has embarked on a strategic outreach campaign through radio and TV stations. These segments are designed to educate the public on the dangers of substance abuse, share success stories of recovery, and provide information on available support services.
2. HOPE FOR THE REJECTED: EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH REHABILITATION AT WILLINGWAY RECOVERY AND REHABILITATION CENTRE: This initiative focuses on rehabilitating and empowering women who have faced rejection and marginalization due to substance abuse. By providing comprehensive rehabilitation services, including counseling, vocational training, and support groups, the center aims to help these women reintegrate into society with renewed confidence and purpose.
3. SUBSTANCE ABUSE CAMPAIGN IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN EJISU MUNICIPAL: Recognizing the importance of early intervention, Willingway Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre has conducted a substance abuse awareness campaign in senior high schools within the Ejisu Municipal area. This program educates students about the risks associated with substance use and provides them with the tools to make informed, healthy choices.
4. Mental Health Screening and Sensitization at Manhyia Palace As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Willingway Recovery and Rehabilitation Centre organized a mental health screening and sensitization program at Manhyia Palace. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about mental health issues, provide free screenings, and educate the community on the importance of mental well-being.
5. SUBSTANCE ABUSE AWARENESS PROGRAM AT KWAMO M/A JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL ON WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY: In observance of World No Tobacco Day, the center conducted a substance abuse awareness program at Kwamo M/A Junior High School. This event highlighted the dangers of tobacco use and aimed to protect children from the influence of the tobacco industry through interactive presentations and activities.
